Lead qualification

Lead qualification is the process by which a business assesses whether a potential customer has enough fit, need and purchase intent to be passed to sales. On WhatsApp it happens directly in the chat: targeted questions about budget, timing and needs let you classify the contact and route them to the right path, reducing time spent on unpromising requests.

In practice, qualification combines explicit criteria and implicit signals. The explicit criteria are the contact's direct answers: which product they're looking for, when they want to buy, what budget they have available. The implicit signals emerge from behavior: speed of reply, specific questions about price, a request for an appointment. On WhatsApp, an AI assistant can ask these questions naturally during the conversation, without the rigid forms typical of web forms.

To set it up, define a few key questions that separate a curious contact from one ready to buy, then decide what happens for each outcome: qualified contacts go to an agent or receive a proposal, unqualified ones enter a nurturing track. Label every contact with a tag based on interest level, so later campaigns reach only the right segments and the sales team works on an already filtered queue.

SendApp's AI assistant qualifies leads directly in the chat: it asks the questions you teach it, applies tags to contacts based on the answers and hands the conversation to an agent when the lead is ready.
